about

A re-worked version of Brother Wolf's original 3rd Act.

lyrics

tendon-rooted bone
carry brittle lungs away
from our family
who wish we'd stay young
in the way they could not stay themselves

intake wonder
human nature
bloody nose
lack of sleep
feel the truth weakening

I was born in a castle made of stone
held by your red wrinkled skin
I was raised in an orchard in the valley
of your red wrinkled skin

but who holds us now that we're grown
and whose sullen brow have we wronged
the ladies of the parlor show concern
and lecture us on things we must unlearn

oh my father don't you wander
I'm not strong enough to fill your shoes
or weak enough to risk my feet and follow you

all you will find
will lead you from my design
so I resign to leave you with open eyes
